Mellow Yellow Monday #18

This week's post is up early - I'm away all day Sunday so I thought it would be better to post it early rather than late.

My cousin took this at Brown Mountain, NSW Australia. As always, I think his photography is just beautiful. Not sure what it is, it kind of looks like a dandelion but obviously it's not. If you know let me know, thanks! For a closer look click on the photo.

Mine is up early too. There is a scheduled outage on blogspot coming up Monday, so thought I just post now.

I like the photo that you posted this week.

Going by the closeup, the leaves in the background are a clue to what flower this is! I think it is commonly known as a black wattle. It is a fast growing tree and is one of the first wattles to flower in the Spring! Lovely shot!

It sure it pretty, whatever kind it is.

It's wattle. Very common in these parts. The smell of them always reminds me of Spring.

It's wattle! I like this form than other kinds. They look like round tassles.

Ladynred said...

I don't know what is but it's beautiful. I'm pretty sure Australian knows its name.

Judy said...

I have never seen that before...It's very pretty.

The flower certainly looks like Wattle... but the foliage looks more like fern fronds.
It's got me confused :-)

Happy Mellow Yellow Monday...
Best wishes

I didn't know what it was until I read the comments. I'm delighted to learn it's Wattle and think it's lovely.
Hugs and blessings,

Hope you enjoy a bright and sunny Mellow Yellow Monday! We've had so much rain here on three consecutive Mondays, that this has been the only bright spot amidst gloomy weather.
Happy Twirls

It's called 'Sunshine Wattle', I believe.

Such pretty yellow flowers..

I have never heard of a wattle but it sounds like your readers know. I do know that it is awfully pretty and delicate. Nice picture. Do those little yellow flowers fall apart when they are touched? Or are they hardy? Looks like I need to Google wattle. LOL!!!

I am dumb when it comes to naming flowers, but these sure are lovely. Happy MYM.

Amo molto questa pianta, che in Italia si chiama " Mimosa ".-
Da mio marito me la sono fatta piantare una davanti alla casa.-

Hi, just dropping by.

I made mistakes on the link. Please remove my first entry at no#30. I had new entry at no#36. Apology for mistake.
