These were taken at L'Anse aux Meadows in Newfoundland. It's where the Vikings first landed sometime around 1000 AD. It was a very interesting historic site and we had a great day. Plus there were lots of buttercups!
Thanks!

I see yellow, purple and white color. I wonder what is beyond that door I hope it is not spooky inside. ^_^

ha! Actually there was a Viking inside ... well, an actor pretending to be a Viking inside an authentic Viking living space, it was kinda cool but not too spooky! :)
Interesting how a simple design for fencing could suggest something Nordic. Beautiful in the field of flowers.
All the best!
Is that a meadow on the roof or is it built into the hillside? Which ever it is it's very eco friendly! Love the buttercups. Thanks for this blog.
I enjoyed looking at your photos. Every since I read The Shipping News I have wanted to go there. Your pictures show how pretty it must be too.
Love the splashes of yellow. Have a fabulous week.

Love that last photo of the hilltop entrance way surrounded by yellow blossoms!!!
Gorgeous wildflowers, and lovely fence too! That looks like an entrance to a hobbit hole of some kind! Have a lovely week :-)

Great photos. Love the series of fence posts and flowers in the meadow. Have always wanted to go to Newfoundland. Thanks for sharing.
Interesting especially because I live in the vIking land:)Linking with your site again:)
Love the buttercups!
no offense, but your site might need some theme updates, it seemed to be overlapping and uncoordinated :D
I love these wildflowers!!
I have a MYM post this time! Come see!!
beautiful wild yellow flowers :-) they are too pretty to be weeds :-) Thank you for hosting the Mellow Yellow Monday :-)
I am confused of your linky. I remember linking up before after I made this post but my name and link is gone. I am having trouble linking up today too. hope you can delete the extra links if it gets doubled. nice hill, reminds me of the hobbit.
Cool door... I wonder what's inside?!
Just a quick note to all you photo meme participants - I have started a new photo meme, Orange You Glad It's Friday, featuring photography with a little or a lot of orange! It can be found on my blog every Friday. Hope to see you there!
Those pretty buttercups complete any scene! Thanks for sharing (and hosting). Have a great week.
